The Old Nuremberg Town Hall is located in the old town of Sebald. The building dates from the Renaissance period and still has a magnificent façade based on Italian models. During the Second World War the building suffered severe damage, and thus had to be largely reconstructed in the 1950s. Inside, however, there is still a magnificent Gothic-style hall designed by Albrecht Dürer. This, together with the medieval prisons in the basement is considered a real attraction, and on the opposite side the striking hall choir of the Sebalduskirche can be found.
From the tower of the town hall you can also enjoy a wonderful view of Nuremberg's old town.
