Staatsballett Berlin

The Staatsballett Berlin was founded in 2004 through a merger of the former ballet ensembles of the three Berlin opera houses of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Komische Oper Berlin and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Under the umbrella of the Stiftung Oper in Berlin, the Staatsballett Berlin is the largest company in Germany. The artistic vision for the repertoire is focused on the creation of new works for the company and the presentation of its rich dance heritage from its beginnings to the present day. As an artistically independent company within the foundation, Staatsballett Berlin dances on all three Berlin opera stages.
