Gehry-Bauten

In Düsseldorf there is an ensemble of buildings designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry. The first building is the "Neue Zollhof", which consists of three staggered office towers and is located directly on the banks of the Rhine. The buildings are clad with stainless steel panels that change color depending on the sunlight. The building was completed in 1998 and has attracted many visitors since then.

The second building, also designed by Gehry, is the "Standing Man" or "The Red Tower". This is a residential and commercial complex clad in a red brick facade. The striking tower was completed in 2005 and has been a dominant feature of Düsseldorf's cityscape ever since.

Both buildings are true works of architectural art and have caused quite a stir in Düsseldorf. They are also an example of Gehry's characteristic style, which is characterized by daring forms and unusual materials.

While the "New Customs Yard" is a popular meeting place for tourists and locals, the "Standing Man" houses mainly apartments and offices. However, both buildings have helped to change the cityscape of Düsseldorf and have made the city an interesting destination for architecture enthusiasts.
