EKŌ-Haus der Japanischen Kultur e.V.

Düsseldorf is considered one of the largest Japanese communities in Europe - over 8000 Japanese live and work here. It is a great enrichment for the city that the people have brought their way of life and food culture with them to the Rhine. In 1993, the EKŌ-Haus was opened in the Niederkassel district of Düsseldorf. It is a religious and cultural center that houses a Buddhist temple, Japanese gardens and a house in traditional Japanese architectural style with a tea room.

If you want to participate in a tea ceremony or be introduced to traditional Japanese arts such as ink painting, calligraphy or ikebana, the EKŌ House is the place for you. It is a place where you can experience the beauty and finesse of Japanese culture firsthand. Visit the EKŌ-House and be enchanted by the impressive atmosphere and fascinating arts.
