Each year, the international show jumping elite sets out to master the oldest and most difficult course of all time. In addition to the legendary Spring Derby, the world's most highly remunerated show jumping series, the Longines Global Champions Tour, has been a guest at the Klein Flottbek Derby Park since 2008, where, among others, the top 30 in the world rankings are eligible to compete - in other words, the world's elite. Every year, the anniversary of Hamburg’s harbour opens with a grand parade on the Elbe River. This is the only place in the world you can see tugboats dancing a ballet on the Elbe. 3rd International Spielbuden Festival

Top artists from the international street art scene present street theatre on Spielbudenplatz in the St. Pauli district. The first wooden stalls were erected as early as 1795, where puppet theatres and tightrope walkers, among others, gave performances and various showmen presented all kinds of curious shows. These stalls gave the square its name and the Spielbudenfestival wants to continue this tradition in a contemporary form

Christopher Street Day Demonstration (CSD) Hamburg

Each year, the colourful and diverse demonstration of the HAMBURG PRIDE parades through Hamburg's city centre. It is the highlight of PRIDE WEEK and a spectacular parade with more than 15,000 participants, attracting thousands of people along the route. The annual CSD street party at Jungfernstieg and Ballindamm along the Binnenalster forms the finale.

Hamburg will once again become the stage for the world of cruising - with the Hamburg Cruise Days. The most beautiful cruise festival in the world returns: with impressive ships, the atmospheric Blue Port Hamburg and with spectacular event highlights such as the parade on Saturday evening. Nine very different ships will be on display over the three days of the event - from impressive ocean cruisers to sleek expedition ships and charming river cruise ships. Regardless of whether you are a well-known cruise fan or a dream ship newbie: there is something for everyone at the Hamburg Cruise Days. For a whole weekend, the harbor edge is transformed into a wonderful maritime promenade with culinary highlights and thrilling entertainment.

More than 300 theatre plays and performances in 40 theatres connected by shuttle busses and Alster boat transfers.                                                                                                                                      For one night in September, theater enthusiasts can once again experience the diversity of Hamburg's theater landscape. Around 30 theaters are taking part again this year: large, well-known as well as smaller theaters, state-funded and private theaters, are putting on their very own program. You can see exclusive insights into upcoming productions or excerpts from popular productions. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore theater behind the scenes.                                                               The family program starts on September 9th at 3 p.m. The theaters open their doors for the evening program from 7 p.m. Visitors can expect previews of premieres, insights behind the scenes of theater operations, discussions with artists, workshops and auctions. At the end of the theater night there will once again be a big after-show party at the Hamburg State Opera this year. Specially equipped shuttle buses take visitors from location to location during the theater night.
