Top-Beaches Usedom

Bansin, Heringsdorf und Ahlbeck

The so-called Kaiserbäder in the north of the island offer sophisticated bathing fun in a stylish ambience. For the Baltic Sea resorts look back on a long past and already offered the rich and noble of the German Empire magnificent residences and bathing establishments for their summer vacation. The magnificent seaside resort architecture along the 12 km long beach promenade, which stretches uninterruptedly from Bansin to the Polish port of Swinemünde, still bears witness to this today.
The beautiful white sandy beach from Bansin to Swinemünde invites you to splash, play and laze around.
If you like your beach trip to be active, the sports beach in Heringsdorf is the right place for you. Volleyball tournaments and sandcastle competitions are held at the local section, beach workouts such as yoga and gymnastics are offered, and various games and sports equipment are rented out. Except for stand-up paddling, however, no other sports are allowed. Together with the "fitness equipment" on the active promenade, this section of the beach becomes an outdoor gym on vacation!

Peenemünde

The natural beach Peenemünde is located in the northwest of the island and borders directly on the nature reserve Peenemünder Haken. It may therefore only be entered as part of a guided hike. There are only a few paid parking spaces available, so it is worthwhile to combine the excursion with a bicycle tour or to arrive early. The untouched beauty of the beach is a pearl of Usedom and enjoys growing popularity. If you want to escape from everyday life for as long as possible and spend the whole day here, you should definitely arrange for catering on your own.

Karlshagen

The seaside resort of Karlshagen is made for families. Situated behind a forested dune landscape, the soft sand underfoot, the warming sun in the sky and the cool Baltic Sea, which provides a shallow entrance here, promise an unforgettable vacation day.  Sand castle architects, bathing mermaids and mermen will get their money's worth here. With a wide range of catering and sanitary facilities on the beach promenade, varied entertainment programs, a children's playground and even trampolines and miniature golf, the beach offers everything for a successful family outing. Traditionally, beach chairs can be rented here.
Other sections of the beach allow bathing with four-legged friends and are excellent for water sports. The place offers perfect conditions for surfing, kiting and windsurfing. The nearby surfing and kitesurfing school provides assistance if needed.

Zempin

The tranquil fishing village of Zemplin is located in the far north at the narrowest point of Usedom. A forest separates the narrow sandy beach from the village center and provides idyllic peace while sunbathing. Several hiking trails in the area lead through the wild nature. The shady forests are ideal for long walks.

Zinnowitz

The fine and wide sandy beach in Zinnowitz attracts mainly water sports enthusiasts. The conditions for surfing, kiting and sailing are ideal here. But you can also play sports on land - no one needs to be afraid of boredom when playing volleyball in the sand or on the trampolines. A children's playground on the beach promenade offers entertainment even for the youngest.
The highlight is the Zinnowitz pier. From the diving gondola connected to it, you can observe the exciting underwater world of the Baltic Sea. Here you can dive completely into the world of sea creatures - and still stay dry-footed!
