Stolpe Castle is located in the south of Usedom and is a Renaissance castle with a Baroque manor house. The core building dates back to the 16th century and served the noble families of Schwerin as the seat of their manor. During the Thirty Years' War the building was partially destroyed and restoration was carried out in the Baroque style. After the manor was doomed to decay towards the end of the last century due to moisture-related structural damage, it has been extensively renovated since 1996 and has been open to the public again since the completion of the work.
