Feldberg

The Feldberg - with 1493 meters the highest mountain in the Black Forest. The mountain peak and the surrounding landscapes offer an idyllic panorama in every season.
But especially in winter, the Panorama Trail offers wonderful views of the magnificent snow-covered landscape and has been specially adapted to meet special safety requirements in snow and slippery conditions, so that it is usually easy to walk on even in winter. The Haus der Natur in Feldberg is a suitable starting point. In addition, the Feldberg is a popular winter sports area with numerous recreational opportunities - for example, there are 38 ski lifts in a total of eight locations.
Especially beautiful and especially in summer a pleasure is of course the hike to the summit (about 40 minutes).  If you want to reach the very top, you can also climb the 30-meter-high Feldbergturm. The viewing platform on the 11th floor of the former radio tower offers a unique view, which in clear weather conditions reaches from the Eiger to the Zugspitze, to the Mont Blanc massif and the Vosges. The tower also houses the Black Forest Ham Museum. A museum is dedicated to the most important culinary specialty of the region, which can be visited from May to October.
Alternatively, the tower can be reached within a few minutes with the Feldbergbahn.
