Nuremberg Airport is located slightly outside the city centre, but is ideally connected to the centre by underground line 2. Thus, the main station can be easily reached after a short journey, as well as the settlement area in the northwest of the city, Erlangen and Fürth by bus. The airport is the second largest in Bavaria and with two terminals measures about 4 million passengers annually.
