Bremen Town Musicians

The bronze statue of the Bremen town musicians is one of the most famous landmarks in Bremen, which is created by Gerhard Marcks and located next to the Bremen Town Hall. 
The statue, inaugurated in 1953, is an eye-catcher with its remarkable design  and recalls the popular fairy tail of the Bremen Town Musicians by the Brothers Grimm. The fairy tale is about a donkey, a dog, a cat and a cock who set out for Bremen to start a new life as town musicians.
