Narrenschiffbrunnen

The Ship of Fools Fountain is a fountain sculpture set up dry in the Nuremberg city centre. The bronze sculpture is 3.60 m high and was made by Jürgen Weber as the "Marriage Carousel". The ship represents the world threatened by extinction and shows biblical scenes with expressively designed figures. Two banners around the structure, warning against environmental destruction, war and violence, create a reference to the present.
