Airport Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf Airport is located in the immediate vicinity of the northern settlement area and not far from the Messe Düsseldorf. In terms of passenger traffic, it is Germany's third-largest airport and represents the most important international hub in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Every year, almost 24 million passengers are counted at the airport, and around 66,600 passengers start or land here on average per day. Passengers can choose from around 200 tourist and scheduled airline destinations in intercontinental and European traffic, as well as within Germany and around 70 airlines - whether for a business trip, a relaxing holiday or a family visit.

Thanks to numerous dining options and shops, the waiting time until departure is ideal.

Car
Coming from Motorway A44 you reach Dusseldorf Airport directly by a separate exit.

Simply enter "Düsseldorf" with "Flughafen" (Airport) as the point of interest in your navigation system. On the airport grounds follow the signs on the traffic management system to the multi-story car park or the car park of your choice. Our recommended route will find the route to the Airport for you without a navigation system.

Train
With two airport train stations, Düsseldorf Airport offers a convenient alternative to arriving by car.

Over 350 trains from S-Bahns (urban trains) to ICEs (intercity express trains), stop at Düsseldorf Airport train station everyday, which is located on the east side of the airport grounds. The SkyTrain, a fully automatic cabin railway, will take you straight into the terminal from the station building.
Düsseldorf Airport also has an S-Bahn or urban train station - the Düsseldorf Airport terminal train station. This is located below terminal C and can be reached via a moving walkway from the arrivals area. From here, you can travel with the S11 to Bergisch Gladbach via Düsseldorf central station.

Bus
The bus station is located in front of the main Arrivals hall.

Bus 760 to/from Ratingen and Düsseldorf-Wittlaer-Bockum, Rosspfad
Bus SB51 to/from Kaarst-Rathaus via Düsseldorf-Nordfriedhof, Meerbusch
Bus 896 Düsseldorf-Flughafen Terminals A/B/C shuttle to Düsseldorf-Messe (trade fair centre) (not all trade fairs)

There is a second bus station at the Düsseldorf Flughafen railway station (see map).

Taxi
You can also easily travel by taxi to the airport. Please ask at the reception.

Car sharing
The vehicles of the car-sharing providers Drivenow and Car-2-Go are available in the car park P7 on level 4 on specially marked parking areas
