Daytrip: Zugspitze

This day trip takes you along the Garmisch motorway, directly into the foothills of the Alps and its green valleys. Passing the picturesque houses of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the bus climbs the first few meters up to the valley station of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany (2,963 m). Using the new cable car, you reach the mountain peak in a matter of minutes. On the ride with the cable car Zugspitze you will experience a special highlight! The technical masterpiece breaks three world records and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a breathtaking view of the beautiful panorama, the Eibsee, the Waxensteine and the Alpspitze. After enjoying the intoxicating views of more than 400 peaks, you have plenty of time to eat and relax in the restaurants on site (vegetarian and halal options available). In the summer, the free bobsleigh or a hike on the eternal glacier ice make for extraordinary fun. Heading back down the mountain you travel on the historic cogwheel railway.
