Mit dat Ohnsorg op du und du!
Whether "Romeo un Julia" or "Tratsch op de Trepp" - comedies, serious plays, classics and modern, often with lots of music - always good entertainment - there is something for everyone at the Ohnsorg Theater. Most of the performances are in Low German, some events with High German surtitles and short High German passages. So it is also possible for Platt beginners to follow the play. Wi sünd seker: Dat kriegt Se klook!
The Ohnsorg Theater was founded in 1902 by Richard Ohnsorg and today, under the direction of Michael Lang, enjoys a good reputation throughout Germany. Through guest performances in many parts of Northern Germany and especially its television broadcasts on NDR, the Ohnsorg Theater has long been one of the best known theaters in Germany. For the past ten years, the Ohnsorg Theater has also been home to a second venue: the Ohnsorg Studio with 70 seats. Here, special emphasis is placed on working with young people, giving them access to drama and the Low German language. With 414 seats in the Great House and its immediate proximity to Hamburg's main train station, the Ohnsorg Theater is a North German specialty and a pleasant way to get to know Hamburg and its special features.
