Magic Bavaria

Magic Bavaria - the fantastic upside-down experience museum in Munich. Experience Bavaria's highlights in a surprisingly different way! Winner of the Travelers' Choice Award 2025.

Over 30 interactive photo spots on an air-conditioned 1000 m², magical illusions and amazing upside-down effects guarantee fun for young and old. Walk upside down on the ceiling in the King's Hall or take a cool jump into Munich's largest ball pool - a new surprise awaits in every room!  

Our creative installations inspire visitors to join in and provide the perfect backdrop for social media or unique holiday photos. .... There is also local art from Bavaria and exciting fun facts (e.g. who invented the pretzel?).

In the stylish museum café, you can print out your photos or enjoy a delicious heart-shaped waffle.

How to find us

We recommend traveling by public transport. From the subway station Olympia – Einkaufszentrum, there is a direct access to the 1st basement of the MONA shopping center to our museum.

Subway:
Lines U1, U3, U7 (e.g. 15 min from Marienplatz with the U3; 10 min from Hauptbahnhof with the U1/U7).

Bus:
Line 143 to Olympia-Einkaufszentrum

Parking:
There is free parking in the surrounding streets as well as a parking garage directly in the MONA shopping center, Pelkovenstraße 143/147, 80992 Munich.
