Karlsplatz (Stachus)

The Karlsplatz, also known as Stachus, is a meeting point for locals and visitors.

Many people start their historic centre or shopping tour here, as the strip mall starts just behind the Karlstor. Other people relax around the fountain or seek, under its jets, a very much-appreciated refreshment in summer.

In winter, ice skaters enjoy the ice rink built specifically for them.
