MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main is one of the world’s most renowned museums of contemporary art. Its three exhibition spaces enable the MMK to combine its large-scale monographic exhibitions and its outstanding collection comprising over 5,000 works.
The MMK 1 – the iconic main building designed by Hans Hollein – presents highlights and classics of international contemporary art. The Collection display is accompanied by large-scale temporary exhibitions and retrospectives featuring important international contemporary artists. MMK 1: Museum für Moderne Kunst, Domstraße 10, 60311 Frankfurt am Main.
Since autumn 2014 the MMK 2 offers another exhibition space located in the TaunusTurm. The annex in the TaunusTurm shows the most recent acquisitions of the Collection alongside new productions. MMK 2: TaunusTurm, Taunustor 1, 60310 Frankfurt am Main.
In the storeroom-like spaces of the MMK 3 – opposite of MMK 1 - current developments in contemporary art are presented. The emphasis lies in monographic exhibitions of remarkable artists from Germany and abroad whose work has hitherto had little presence in the German museum world. MMK 3: Zollamt, Domstraße 3, 60311 Frankfurt am Main.
