Nature Adventure Park Waldkirch

The nature adventure park in Waldkirch is a true paradise for children and a popular destination for families! It is located about 15 km north of Freiburg in the central Black Forest. At several adventure attractions you can experience the nature around the Stadtrainsee with all your senses.
The undisputed highlight is the treetop path, which allows visitors to encounter the Black Forest at face level. A 200 meter long footbridge leads to the treetops. Along the way, there are numerous display boards offering interesting information about the animal and plant world of the surrounding forest. 23 meters above the forest floor there is a wonderful view over the forest, to Waldkirch, into the Elz valley, as well as to Freiburg, into the Rhine valley, to the Kaiserstuhl and to the Vogesen. If you wish, you can shorten the way back with a slide ride through Europe's longest tube slide.
Note: The ascent to the treetop path is quite steep, but can also be done with baby carriages. Entertaining adventure stations along the Sinnesweg invite you to take a breather, during which you can estimate, guess and puzzle. Those who want to can play forest memory, compare their own weight with that of a tree trunk at the forest scales or rest in a wooden deck chair.
