Treetop Path Bad Wildbad

The footbridge leads at a height of 20 meters for about one kilometer through the treetops of beech, fir and spruce trees on the Sommerberg. On the way up to the 40-meter-high observation tower, the view lifts up over the woods more and more. Along the way, information boards and adventure stations provide information about the surrounding landscape and the flora and fauna of the region. At the comic rally, armed with a comic book and pencil, you have to solve exciting nature puzzles. The squirrels and their friends help. Whoever has completed all the tasks will win a small prize at the end.
Once at the top of the tower, visitors can enjoy a magnificent 360° view of the surrounding Black Forest mountains. If visibility is clear, the view even extends to the Stuttgart TV tower and the Swabian Alb!
The highlight is the 55-meter-long tunnel slide, which offers young and old an exciting alternative to the conventional way back via the tower.
The events on the treetop path are particularly recommended: educational events and full moon tours are held regularly. Sunrises and sunsets can also be enjoyed on the path on selected dates.
The entire path including the tower is barrier-free!
Afterwards you can take a long walk through the fairy tale path. The 3.2 km long trail starts directly on the summer mountain at the tower of the treetop path and invites small and big adventurers to a voyage of discovery through the forest.

Note:
Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult! Dogs are unfortunately not allowed.

Tipp :

If you want to save your energy for the slight ascent on the footbridge, the Sommerbergbahn offers you the opportunity to ride up to the top of the Sommerberg in a leisurely and comfortable way while you enjoy the magnificent view of Bad Wildbad from the modern panorama wagons. The funicular leads to the entrance of the treetop path, so it is only a few hundred meters from the top station. A combined ticket for the cable car and tree top walk is available.

Note:
In case of thunderstorm, hail, storm and ice the path can be closed. The viewing platform is closed in appropriate weather conditions. In case of rain the path is open.
