Titisee

Here you can find it - the typical Black Forest. In the immediate vicinity of the health resort Titisee-Neustadt is one of the most famous and popular destinations in the country - Titisee with its lake road.
Created by the Feldberg glacier, whose moraines border the lake's shores, the lake offers a breathtaking natural spectacle to the observer and tempts him to pause and linger.

Tipp :

Whoever dares a hike to the Hochfirstturm will be rewarded with a uniquely fascinating view over the lake and the extensive surroundings! On a clear day, the view even extends as far as the Alps and the Kandel. The Hochfirstturm is the local mountain of Lake Titisee and at 1192 meters is one of the highest peaks in the Black Forest. The tower was built in steel framework construction and is 25 meters high. The hike along the Seerundweg takes about 1 hour.
The key is available at the Gasthaus Hochfirst during opening hours. Price: 2,00 €

Tipps for families :

A ride on the Zäpfle Bähnle is also highly recommended. Through picturesque landscapes, the ride continues at a leisurely pace to the "Fürsatzhöhe" at 1070 meters. You can get off the train here for a short stay before you return to Titisee via Heiligenbrunnen. The round trip takes about one hour. Alternatively, a one-hour hike back from "Fürsatzhöhe" is also possible.
