The Heilandskirche at the Port of Sacrow is located south of the Brandenburg village of Sacrow on the banks of the Havel. Situated in the middle of the Sacrow Castle Park and on a headland, it virtually rises into the river, which makes for a picturesque scene. Situated near the small Sacrow castle, the church is part of the Potsdam Havel landscape, which stretches from Peacock Island to Werder and is therefore also a popular destination for excursions.
The church was built in 1844 as a sacral building and is characterized by its freestanding bell tower after the Italian model, called Campanile. In its architectural style it is also modelled on an anchoring ship.
