International Green Week Berlin
The International Green Week Berlin is one of the most traditional trade fairs in Berlin and one of the best-known events in Germany.

Site structure of the Green Week
The agricultural exhibition areas and the flower hall with horticulture are located in the southern part of the exhibition grounds under the radio tower. The Germany tour runs through the western section of the halls around the Summer Garden, while the international food industry is mainly concentrated in the eastern section of the exhibition grounds.
Highlight: Flower Hall
Every year, the Flower Hall at the Green Week is an absolute "must" for every visitor. In addition to colorful garden arrangements, it offers a gardening stage program, garden shows and interesting facts about urban gardening. Exhibitors in the flower hall include allotment garden associations, the Central Horticultural Association, Berlin Zoological Garden and Grün Berlin GmbH. Thousands of early bloomers will be on display in the flower hall under a central theme.
Over 80 years of Green Week history
The International Green Week Berlin can now look back on over 80 years of eventful history. From a simple local trade fair, it has become the most important international trade fair for the food industry, agriculture and horticulture. Since 1926, over 72,000 exhibitors from 116 countries have presented a comprehensive range of products from all continents to over 29 million trade and private visitors.

Generali Berlin Half Marathon

The DGB's traditional May Day rally on Labor Day is expected to take place again in 2024. It is not yet known where the rally is planned for this year.
In 2023, the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) organized a rally in front of the Rotes Rathaus under the motto "Unbroken solidarity". The venue and motto for 2024 have not yet been announced. Classic Days in Berlin
With the presentation of around 2000 historic vehicles, the Classic Days Berlin offer the opportunity to see some of the classics of automotive history.

61st Theatertreffen
The Berliner Festspiele's Theatertreffen is the most important German theater festival and gathers theater professionals, journalists and guests from all over the world in Berlin in May.

Women's run Berlin 2024
The Berlin Women's Run will take place in Tiergarten for the 39th time in 2024, sponsored by KoRo.
In addition to the classic distance of 10 kilometers through the Tiergarten, there is also the 10-kilometer walking or Nordic walking, the 5-kilometer fun run with or without timekeeping and the 5-kilometer walking or Nordic walking. S 25 Berlin 2024
Once to the Olympic Stadium and back: more than 10,000 runners take part in Germany's oldest city run every year.
Still under the name "25 km de Berlin", the city run took place for the first time on May 3, 1981. It was founded by the French Major Bride. In 2008, "Berlin läuft!" took over the event as the new organizer. While participants initially only ran a 25-kilometre course through Berlin, the program has since been expanded to include a children's run, a 10-kilometre course, a 5x5 km relay and a half marathon.
The 5-kilometer run (individual and team classification) is still brand new.
Course of the "S 25 Berlin" 2024:
The starting point for the "S 25 Berlin" is Olympiaplatz in front of the Olympic Stadium. Depending on the route, it continues along Kaiserdamm, past the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate, via Friedrichstraße, Gendarmenmarkt, Potsdamer Platz, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Kurfürstendamm, Kantstraße and Reichsstraße. The finish line is the blue track in the Olympic Stadium. The award ceremony and medal ceremony will take place afterwards.

Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5 km TEAM relay - your relay race in Berlin
It's not just the relay race that will bring sports enthusiasts together in 2024. This year, the whole of Berlin will be dedicated to sport - including the 2024 European Football Championship Fan Mile. To ensure that all events have enough time and space for preparation and implementation, we have scheduled the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5 km TEAM Relay in one of the most beautiful months of the year, on 14-16 May to be precise.

From Brazilian samba to Chinese lion dances, from West African drums to Bernese carnival brass bands, the carnival groups impressively demonstrate that Berlin's treasure is its diversity and internationality. Special exhibition - The exhibition Hin und weg. The Palace of the Republic is Present will bring the history and present of the palace to life on 1,300 square meters from May 2024. On display are objects from and about the palace, drawings, photographs and posters, audio and video interviews from the "Remembrance work in the Humboldt Forum" project and participatory activities.
The exhibition is dedicated to the various phases of the building: from its planning and construction (1973-1976) to its use as a multi-purpose political and cultural building in the GDR, its significance as the seat of the first freely elected People's Chamber, its interim use and its demolition in the Federal Republic of Germany, which was completed in 2008.

The 21st Long Night of Science offers exciting experiments, current research results and stimulating discussions.
Dialogue between science and citizens
These personal encounters, coupled with the insight into places that are often "hidden" from the public and the night-time event character, make this event particularly attractive. Around 27,000 visitors took advantage of this opportunity last year. But it is not only the guests who can learn a lot on a Science Night. This French invention has been celebrated in Berlin every year since 1995. Amateurs and professionals of all musical styles are invited to present their skills to the public free of charge.

The lesbian and gay city festival 2024
The Regenbogenfonds e.V. is organizing Europe's largest lesbian and gay city festival for the 30th time. More than 350,000 visitors are expected on an area of 20,000 square meters.
On both days of the festival, the area around Nollendorfplatz will be a party mile until late into the night. There will be a varied program on six main stages, with various German and international bands from all genres performing.
The motto of the Lesbian and Gay City Festival 2024 is once again "Equal rights for unequal people - worldwide!". This was the theme of the six city festival worlds, which included Film World, Radio World, Sports World, Political World, Positive World and Wellness and Health World. The Berlin bike race on Berlin's magnificent boulevards will enter its third round in 2024. Past the
past the capital's landmarks, thousands of spectators and music bands, all the way to the Brandenburg Gate. As usual, participants can choose between distances of 60 and 100 kilometers. For the first time in 2024, pedelecs (electric bicycles with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h) will also be permitted on the 60 km route at GENERALI VeloCity.
Of course, there will once again be the "Berlin's fastest kilometer" competition, in which all cyclists aged 16 and over can prove themselves in a 1,000-meter sprint.

100 miles Berlin: Berlin Wall Trail Run 2024
The Berlin Wall Trail Run: 100 miles in the footsteps of German history
Since 2011, the Wall Trail Run has commemorated the victims of the former border that divided Germany between 1961 and 1989. The run takes place along the former border strip, which is just over 161 kilometers around western Berlin. The patron of the 100MeilenBerlin is former GDR civil rights activist Rainer Eppelmann.
In 2024, the Wall Trail Run will take place on August 17 and 18. This time, the direction of the run will be counter-clockwise.
