The Heinz Schleusser Marina is located directly on the Rhine-Herne Canal and was opened in 2004. The port was named after the former finance minister Heinz Schleusser, who helped shape Oberhausen's structural change.
The area of the Heinz-Schleußer-Marina is 10,000 square meters and offers space for around 60 sports boats. With a water depth of up to 3.50 meters, even large yachts with a draft of up to two meters can moor here. The port is also perfect for water sports enthusiasts. With its maritime ambience, the marina is a popular place and a good example of a successful structural change.
