The Mendelssohn House contains the last private apartment of the composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy before his death in 1847. The home in the late classicist building was opened as a museum in 1997 and offers original furnishings as well as documents and pictures from the family estate. It offers a comprehensive view of the composer's life and creative phase and an authentic impression of life in the 19th century.
Every Sunday, concerts take place in the music salon, as in the artist's lifetime.
