The imposing Bremen Town Hall, which is located at historic market square, was built between 1405 and 1410, and not least because of its 17th-century Weser-Renaissance façade has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2004.
Magnificent rooms such as the upper Town Hall show the splendor and prosperity of Bremen as a successful trading city in the past. Due to the fact that the Bremen Town Hall is the only town hall from the late Middle Ages that has been preserved in Germany, you can feel a living history in this building.
The Bremen Town Hall has another special feature to offer: in the cellars of the house is stored the oldest bulk wine in the world, which was stored in 1635 and ist more similiar with a sherry than with a wine.
