Luisenpark Mannheim

The Luisenpark is one of the largest parks in Mannheim. It is located on the left bank of the Neckar and is divided into the old, lower park and the newer, upper park. The lower part is accessible free of charge and serves as a local recreation centre for the people of Mannheim and their visitors. For the visit of the upper part of the park, a small entrance fee is due, but for this, one gets a lot offered:

    • Kutzerweiher with gondolettas
    • lake stage with changing concerts & events
    • Chinese teahouse with garden
    • Seasonal theme gardens
    • Plant showroom
    • Diverse animal world
    • 6 playgrounds, trampoline facility and miniature golf
    • Sound oasis with rest area and deckchairs
    • Heinrich-Vetter-Weg, sculpture path with works of art
    • Leisure meadow

Of course, you can also attend a real Chinese tea ceremony in the tea house or simply enjoy the time together on the Kutzerweiher.
In the plant show house there are not only tropical plants to admire, but also butterflies buzz silently through the air, monkeys swing from tree to tree, crocodiles doze in the warmth and many colourful fish cavort in the waters.
There are various snack bars, restaurants and cafés for the physical well-being, and while the children slide, dig, climb or jump on the numerous playgrounds, parents can relax in one of the many free deck chairs.
