Aegidienkirche

Close to the old town of Hanover is the impressive Aegidienkirche, which, through its imposing appearance, makes you want to discover it more closely. Due to its particular architecture and the fact that the destruction of the Second World War was not remedied in order to create a memorial against war and violence, the ruins of the Aegidienkirche provide a perfect backdrop for concerts and other events.
Once a year, on August 6th, the so-called Peace Bell, which was a gift from the sister city of Hiroshima in Japan, is thought to be the victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima at the end of World War II.
