Tabaksweiher

The Tabaksweiher "tobacco pond" in St. Arnual is a popular excursion destination at the beginning of a rural, quiet area. It takes its name from the nearby tobacco mill where snuff was produced until 1860. Built in 1831, the listed building houses an excursion restaurant offering typical Saarland specialities such as Hoorische, Gefillde, Lyoner on a spit or the traditional potato soup.  The outdoor area is also a popular beer garden in summer for walkers and hikers. It serves as an ideal place for a rest after an idyllic walk around the pond!
