The Frankfurt Cathedral (in German called Dom) is the largest religious building in the city and a former collegiate church. The present church was erected between 1250 and 1514. As former election and coronation church of the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, the cathedral is one of the major buildings of the Holy Roman Empire. A panoramic view can be enjoyed from the platform of the cathedral, 95 m high above the inner city of Frankfurt.
