Stadion An der Alten Försterei

Welcome to the Alte Försterei Berlin, the home of Union Berlin!

The Alte Försterei is a historic soccer stadium in the Köpenick district of Berlin. It has been the home ground of Union Berlin since 1920 and is one of the oldest stadiums in Germany. The stadium has a capacity of 22,012 seats. Originally, the stadium was built in 1920 and used as a military training ground. The stadium was first extensively renovated in the 1930s and expanded in the 1950s. It was later converted into a soccer stadium in 1965 and has been home to 1. FC Union Berlin ever since. Due to its location on the grounds of an old forester's house, it is also called "Stadion An der Alten Försterei".

The pitch at the Alte Försterei is 105 by 68 meters and has a natural grass surface. It is located in an open area and is exposed to the weather, so it can occasionally freeze in the winter.
The atmosphere at the Alte Försterei is one of the main attractions for soccer fans. The passionate home crowd makes for a raucous atmosphere and the club anthem "Union Forever" is the soundtrack to home games. It is also a popular destination for tourists who want to experience the unique atmosphere and see one of the most famous sports venues in the city.
