The Berliner Philharmonie is one of the city's most important concert halls. As the home of the Berliner Philharmoniker, it has been the musical heart of Berlin since 1963. The Philharmonie's unusual architectural form and its bright yellow façade have long since made it one of the city's landmarks.
The innovative concept with the podium in the middle of the hall was controversially discussed at the time, today imitations can be found all over the world. In its more than 50 years of history, the Berliner Philharmoniker, with its outstanding conductors and soloists, have given their audiences countless magnificent concerts.
