Johanneskirche am Feuersee

The Johanneskirche dates from the 19th century and was built in the neo-Gothic style. The sacral building is considered the most important building of church architecture from this period and is idyllically situated in the west of Stuttgart on a peninsula in Lake Feuersee.
The missing spire of the church is particularly characteristic - during attacks on the city during the Second World War the building was severely damaged, so that it had to be completely restored after the end of the war. However, the spire was never reattached - its absence serves to this day as a memorial against war and violence. The church is therefore also called "church without top".
