Höhenpark Killesberg

The Höhenpark Killesberg is a 50 hectare park in the north of Stuttgart. With its array of beautiful lake terraces, accurately planted flower beds, the large playground and animal enclosures, it is a popular destination for the whole family. On the large animal meadows the children experience ponies, donkeys, lamas, sheep, goats and even mini pigs and the merry-go-round and several theatres guarantee fun for young and old.
However, the highlight is the Killesbergbahn. The park railway looks back on a long tradition and between April and October it coaches the visitors of the park on a distance of 2 km over the area.
Throughout the year the park is also used as a venue for various events. In summer, for example, many different concerts take place on the Killesberg open-air stage. Another popular event is the Festival of Lights, which is held every year in July. Tens of thousands are then lured into the park to enjoy the fireworks and the unique atmosphere.
