Miniatur Wunderland – Germany's most popular tourist attraction

We started building our lifetime project more than 22 years ago – our dream was to build the world’s largest model railway exhibition. Over a million hours of work have gone into thousands of details. Take a close look, you often discover a lot at second glance.
Your visit through Wunderland will take you from fantasy cities, diverse landscapes, to model building masterpieces. More than 22 million visitors have embarked on a discovery tour on a scale of 1:87 to date.
Imagination knows no limits: Due to the day-night simulation, a day lasts only 15 minutes, and with the onset of dusk, nearly 500,000 LEDs make the layout shine. A special attraction is the smallest commercial airport in the world - on 125 m² it offers a flight simulation with more than 40 airplanes and corresponding ground crews.
For over two decades we have been creating new stories and magical details. In early 2023, we opened Patagonia. Other parts of South America, including the Atacama desert and the rainforest, will be created in the coming years. Monaco and the Provence will also soon enrich the Miniatur Wunderland world map.
