Beaches

The up to 50 meters wide main beach Kühlungsborn offers enough space for extensive sunbathing, swimming fun, games and sports. The blue flag distinguishes the excellent water quality. Two sports beaches, a nudist area and three excellent dog beaches ensure that really everyone gets their money's worth and even man's four-legged best friend doesn't have to stay at home.

Excursions

The Baltic resort of Heiligendamm is a popular destination. The white town by the sea was Germany's first seaside resort and attracts with a picturesque white sandy beach. The shady coastal forest is ideal for cycling and hiking tours.
If you can't get enough of the maritime flair, take a walk to the Buk lighthouse near Bastorf. The magnificent view from the observation deck compensates for the six-kilometer walk.
A special experience is a ride on the Molli train. The narrow-gauge railroad has been in service since 1886 and transports excursionists between Kühlungsborn, Heiligendamm and Bad Doberan. The train also transports bicycles and is particularly suitable for a leisurely return trip to the vacation destination when the feet are tired after a long day.
