Over the treetops
:
The highlight of the area is the popular tree top walk. With a maximum gradient of 6%, it is barrier-free and also easily accessible with a stroller or wheelchair. At a height of between 4 and 17 meters above the forest floor, young and old meander through the forest here. On the way, there are not only a lot of interesting facts to learn about the mixed beech forest and the alder quarries as a habitat, but also many wobbly matters and other obstacles to conquer. Armed with a comic book and pencil, the aim of the comic rally is to solve exciting nature riddles. The sea eagle and his friends will help. Those who have mastered all the tasks will win a small prize at the end.
The 650-meter-long trail naturally leads to the eagle's nest, the 40-meter-high wooden observation tower in the middle of the forest. From here, a wide view opens up over the island of Rügen, the Jasmund Bodden and the Baltic Sea. If you want, you can find your way back to the forest floor via the 52-meter tunnel slide.
