The German Historical Museum is Germany's national history museum. Located in Berlin's historic center, it sees itself as a place to strengthen historical judgment, where overarching philosophical, ethical and historical questions are negotiated.
The Zeughaus with its overview exhibition on German history in the Zeughaus is closed for the development of a new permanent exhibition. In the directly adjacent exhibition hall, the Pei-Bau, temporary exhibitions on formative events, developments and people in German history can be seen in a European context.
